About Kristine M. Akland
Kristine was raised in Missoula, Montana where she graduated from Hellgate High School in 2005. After graduation, Kristine Akland attended Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona where she focused her studies on restoration ecology and received a decree in biology and chemistry.
Kristine returned home to pursue her desire to help people and the environment and received her Juris Doctor Degree from University of Montana School of Law in 2014. Throughout her legal education, Kristine focused on environmental law and family law. She was the President of the Environmental Law Group, Vice President of the Student Bar Association and a successful participant in the Environmental Moot Court Team. She also interned at a large Missoula law firm where she had deep training in trial work.
Since graduation, Kristine has practiced as a trial attorney and environmental litigator. She has positive and calm demeanor that aids her success in negotiation and during trial and is licensed in Montana and Washington.
